The Darkness
Radha! when a dog barks at you, do you think shouting back is the right thing to do? If you are succumbed to such disgraces then what will be the difference between you and him?Rahul replied.
You are a blind and an idiotic idealist in today's time. This way of thinking is outdated. The rules of the time we live in are different. How are you going to win a game of football by applying rules of cricket? Radha argued.
Your logic is fine if you take it as a game you want to win but question is why you allow someone else specially if you don't like them to pick the games for you. Pick your own games and play your heart out, Rahul said with a smiling face.
So what you are suggesting is if someone bullies you, do not fight back. I must remind you that not resisting a crime is equal to doing the crime itself. what do you suggest if someone comes and slaps you ? asked Radha seemingly furious and almost ready to slap someone.
Defend yourself with logic, stay calm and focus on the job in hand but never forgetting that this situation will get over too, sooner or later. Better sooner than later. In my opinion, if running away can lead to peace then there is no harm in running away. Even Krishna ran away from Mathura so that peace could prevail, Rahul added.
Iron cuts Iron. And now that you have brought gods in the discussion, also remember that Ram prayed for 3 days in front of Ocean without success but when he decided to use his power, the case was solved in no time. Also remember the immortal lines by Dinkar
क्षमा शोभती उस भुजंग को जिसके पास गरल हो।
उसको क्या जो दंतहीन, विषरहित, विनीत सरल हो।
Radha continued her enexquisite form and gave immaculate logic.
Radha! I know what you are saying will make a lot of sense to many people and I too think that it is one of the way to solve the problem but my point is that if you look deeply then there is a reason for a person to behave in a particular way most of the time. When you see the world from their place, you will have a better understanding of the whole situation and thus you will be better equipped to deal with it.
Also rembaber that aggression is inversely proportional to intelligence. In the heat of the moment you can do something which can give someone scars for life. Haven't you felt many a times that you did something or said something to someone just because you were angry and later when you got calm, you regretted it. That means by acting aggressively you have hurt not only the other person but yourself as well. You lost from both the ends. Anger is a fall which may seem like flying for a short period of time but it has a definite destination. It's never the fall that kills you, it's the landing.
Rahul was amazed that he could speak so long at one go in front of his wife who looked dangerously aggressive just moments ago.
Now she was a bit calmer.
She said,' what you are saying and doing is really hard to do.
At times it looks foolish to me. People will throw you down and run you over'.
And go where? Aren't we all bound to reach the same ultimate culmination? Rahul asked.
This time the conversation goes more deeper than before. It's interesting to see things to such a great extent by removing the upper layers .
